Randy's Donuts -- Inglewood
LA’s giant donut has just gotten a face-lift and is looking better than ever! Randy’s Donuts in Inglewood, an LA classic known from pop culture and it’s enormous donut, attracts tourists from around the world. What keeps people coming back besides just a photo op, is the quality of the donuts served.
Randy’s team of bakers produces over 40 different varieties daily that appeal to everyone from kids, parents, business travelers, and those with the most discriminating tastes. They’ve been making these donuts for over 60 years, using much of the same equipment and creating each unique donut by hand.
But after 60 years, sometimes a business needs a few spruce ups—esthetically speaking. Well, Randy’s just got that. They’ve repainted the walls, added a brand new drive through and walkup window, and updated the insides. When I stopped by I even got to help pick out the paint color for part of the sidewalk! Low key, very exciting for me.
The one thing that isn’t changing though, is Randy’s affordable price point. They pride themselves on their being a great value for families and businesses with glazed donuts, twists, chocolate raised, cinnamon rolls, apple fritters, or any of their 35 other donuts at under $2.
I especially love their cookies and cream donut, with pieces of real Oreo on it. Plus, you can’t go wrong with a classic glazed. Speaking of which, on June 1st for National Donut Day, Randy’s will be FREE glazed donuts while supplies lasts.
Randy’s is clearly an LA staple, so it is great for all of us who don’t live near Inglewood, because they are growing. They opened last summer in the Westfield Century City shopping mall, and their next two locations, opening this year, will be El Segundo and Hollywood Blvd.
